AS “LatRailNet” follows best international practices and cooperates with foreign infrastructure managers and performers if essential functions, educational intitutions, research institutes and other related organisations.


North Sea – Baltic Rail freight Corridor
In order to facilitate international competitiveness of international rail freight services and to highlight the role of railway in the sustainable transport system, AS “LatRailNet” participates in the expansion of the North Sea – Baltic rail freight corridor. Corridor currently runs through six EU Member States: starting in the North Sea ports of Antwerp, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Wilhelmshaven, Bremerhaven and Hamburg spreading in central Germany through Aachen, Hannover, Berlin to Warsaw, Terespol and Kaunas with a branch from Falkenberg to Prague and Katowice. It is intended to gradually extend RFC North Sea – Baltic by 2020 to Estonia, Latvia and towards Polish – Ukrainian border. More info here!



Platform of Rail Infrastructure Managers in Europe
Representatives of AS “LatRailNet” on a regular basis participate in working groups of Platform of Rail Infrastructure Managers in Europe (PRIME) and provide proposals for development of EU legal framework and development of single European Railaway Area. More info here!



Cooperation on the allocation of capacity between by Latvia and Lithuania
AS “LatRailNet” and Lithuanian Transport Safety Administration have signed agreement on cooperation in the allocation of infrastructure capacity between Latvia and Lithuania. More info here!
