JSC LatRailNet oversees fair and non-discriminatory capacity allocation in Rail Freight Corridor North Sea-Baltic (RFC NS-B), aiming to enhance international rail freight competitiveness and strengthen the role of railways by ensuring a continuous and high-quality rail supply within the corridor.
RFC NS-B is responsible for the Pre-arranged Paths (PaPs) publication on their corridors, and for each dossier promotion and enforcing the harmonization of the offers, and keeping the deadlines. PaPs are defined in accordance with specific parameters such as load, length or locomotive type and are organized and presented in logical geographical sections.
Main features of the PaPs are:
- international paths, which are pre-constructed and harmonized at network borders;
- defined following specific parameters;
- published 11 months before the Time Table (TT) Change (X-11);
- protected in the infrastructure managers (IMs) planning tools against significant changes resulting from other capacity requests;
- published in a transparent way using IT tool Path Coordination System (PCS);
- allocated via the Corridor One-Stop Shops on behalf of the involved IMs and allocation bodies.
PaPs for TT2025 are published and accessible in the PCS. The PaP-catalogue is displayed in a transparent way in the IT tool – PCS and forms the basis for international train path requests. For additional information please refer to PaPs subpage on RFC website.
