JSC “LatRailNEt” has approved infrastructure charges for transportation of wood chip freight services
In order to ensure efficiency of the use of railway infrastructure and to develop domestic freight transportation, as well as to provide a cost-competitive offer with road transport, JSC “LatRailNet” has decided to reduce the railway infrastructure charges of the transportation of wood chip freight services. This new market segment is a step towards the direction of the achievement of the performance indicators set out in national transport policy planning documents and the development of railway transport connections with Lithuania.

Announced JSC “LatRailNet” service charges for the next period of 2023./2024.
On the 6th of December 2023 the board of JSC “LatRailNet” has adopted board decision No. JALP-1.3./15-2023 “On determining the charges for performing essential functions from December 10, 2023 to December 14, 2024″, by which charges for the services provided by AS “LatRailNet” for the next period of the annual working timetable will be applied staring from the 10th of December of this year.

On September 20th, 2023, the board of JSC “LatRailNet” adopted board decision No. JALP-1.3/8-2023 (protocol No. JALP-1.2/51-2023) “On determining the average direct costs of the unit, the charges for the minimum access service package and access to the infrastructure connecting the infrastructure to the service facilities, and other related charges for the period from January 1, 2024, and approving amendments to the charging scheme.”

RFC North Sea-Baltic has published Pre-arranged Path Catalog for 2024
On January 9, 2023, the North Sea-Baltic Rail Freight Corridor (RFC NS-B) catalog of Pre-arranged Paths (PaP) for the year 2024 was published. The catalog can be found on the RFC NS-B website. Carriers may place their international train path requests until April 11, 2023.
JSC “LatRailNet” reminds that before making a reservation of PaP, it is necessary to evaluate whether the planned transportation meets the requirements of PaP.
